Taking the train downtown to visit so many of the wonderful sights and shops and admiring the absolutely amazing and beautiful architecture of our great city is a must any time of the year.
Be sure to check out Millenium Park along Lake Shore Drive, or Navy Pier or any of the wonderful museums and the Art Institute. Sign up to take a Segway tour as a great way to see some of these lovely attractions along the lake. Whatever you do, ENJOY!!!

One of our absolutely favorite things to do is work in and enjoy our gardens. One fabulous place to visit to get truly inspired and rejuvenated is The Chicago Botanic Garden in Glencoe, Illinois. With an array of different themed gardens, classes, events, etc. you will be sure to find something to brighten your day! Click on the title above to visit their website.
With spring weather right around the corner, we will be heading up to Lake Geneva again to walk around the lake. With Lake Geneva being just 45 minutes from Cary, it is a great getaway location when we need a break from the daily grind.
Once in town, park by the library along the lake and enter the walking path that literally takes you through the back yards of the lovely estates around the lake. The entire lake walk takes a total of approximately 8 hours, or you can just walk out as long as time allows for you to walk back. Or if you would rather check out the homes from the water, embark on one of the tour boat trips which are guided and informative. You can also enjoy a meal or ice cream on chosen tours.
