Over the last four years, I have contracted with R & W Construction three times to remodel much of my home including both major renovations (basement) and smaller jobs (floor repairs, kitchen cabinet trim). Each job had its challenges and R & W met them all. Two years ago, I hired a handy man and then a carpenter to add crown moulding to my dining room. Linear yards of moulding, two weeks and several hundred dollars later, the moulding was still on the floor. I called R & W, and the problem was solved in days. During the 5 weeks that my basement went from a concrete cellar to the most striking room in my home, I endured minimal disruption, even when walls were removed to open the stairwell – one of the most remarkable things about the company’s staff is their ability to allow you to live comfortably in the midst of construction. Worksites are inevitably clean and safe, and the staff is friendly, trustworthy and considerate. In any remodeling job, there are always unforeseen circumstances – in my case, a furnace that came late and carpet that cam early, to name just two. R & W Construction worked creatively around those barriers and kept the job moving forward without extra expense to me.
